riddle me this atheists: if god isn’t real then who is inside the kleenex box pushing up the next tissue
The top end of my fun scale has been extended a good bit. Thanks for being you. I’d want nothing else.
remember when we were kids and we used to all sing that demented version of the barney song where it was like “i hate you you hate me let’s go out and kill barney”
i don’t remember ever doing this. you were a fucked up kid
i hate you
you hate me
let’s go out an kill barney

I’m not inspired by Buddhism. I’m inspired by the action Siddhartha Gautama took to find out what’s true.
I’m not inspired by armchair philosophers or others that just put together a bunch of other people’s ideas. I’m inspired by people that take action. I’m inspired by people that don’t just talk, but by people that experience.
I’d be more inspired by a deaf mute that sought an experience and had it, without ever talking about it, more than someone that talked without having the experience.
There’s many people that have opinions, concepts, and philosophies and there’s many religions with texts galore. Out of these people few have actually experienced what they attempt to speak about.
I’m inspired by people that take action, by people that recognize the significance of experience and by people that invite others to come and experience for themselves.
Thanks for checking out my work. I appreciate the questions and I know you mean well. But I just want to make a quick point. Always keep the focus of your journey on yourself and your experience. Let’s not turn this into an interview about me, like I’m a musician that just released a new album or something. I’m not very interesting, and even if I was, don’t let that distract you from the importance of your own life experience.
It’s that thing when you’re with someone and you love them and they know it and they love you and you know it but it’s a party and you’re both talking to other people and you’re laughing and shining and you look across the room and catch each other’s eyes. But not because you’re possessive, or it’s precisely sexual, but because that is your person in this life and it’s funny and sad but only because this life will end and it’s this secret world that exists right there. In public. Unnoticed. That no one else knows about. It’s sort of like how they say that other dimensions exist all around us but we don’t have the ability to perceive them. That’s what I want out of a relationship. Or just life, I guess.Frances Ha (via notebookings)
